Nebraska Basketball Officials’ 2017-18 Fall Meeting Set for Wednesday, September 27, at Westside High School

Nebraska Basketball Officials, the organization which assigns lower level and varsity officials for the Metro Conference, as well as middle school and elementary officials for the Omaha Public Schools, will have its fall meeting for the 2017-18 season, Wednesday night, September, 27, at 6:30 pm, in the small Auditorium at Omaha Westside High School. This will be the last meeting before assigning gets into full swing for this coming winter, so officials are encouraged to attend and pay dues so they are ready to be entered into Arbiter for assignments.

Annual dues will be $50 and includes being registered with Arbiter, NBO’s online scheduling software.

Officials working varsity contests in the Metro will need to be registered with the Nebraska School Activities Association ($45 fee) and the NBO ($50 dues). No additional fees will be charged by NBO. Officials do NOT need to pay additional fees or be registered with the Nebraska High School Officials Association (NHSOA) to work varsity Metro contests.

The meeting will last approximately one hour with Nebraska Basketball Officials’ assignor Al Monaco going over updates for the 2017-18 season. Lower Level NBO assignor Justin Albrecht will also be in attendance.

Officials wishing to write checks for their dues may do so to Nebraska Basketball Officials. Receipts will also be available for those wishing to pay with cash. Officials will not be registered with Arbiter this year until 2017-18 dues are paid. This includes all lower level officials.

Anyone with questions can contact Monaco at monaco.nbo@gmail.com. Or, they can call Monaco at 402-525-0699.
