The Conqueror Basketball League will be the largest youth basketball league in the Omaha Metro this fall and a meeting for officials is scheduled for Wednesday, October 9, at 7 pm at Union Bank and Trust Sports Complex2 South (Elkhorn Attack/Elite Building).
The meeting will go over procedures, rules and the payment process for the league, which was founded and run by Jon Jensen in the past, but is now led by Todd and Dannye Jakopovic, who also run the Elkhorn Attack Boys and Elkhorn Elite Girls Basketball programs. The Conqueror Basketball League will have just under 400 teams this fall, with even larger numbers of teams anticipated for the winter.
We encourage officials to attend the meeting to get all their questions answered before the start of the season, which is set to tip-off the weekend of October 19-20. Elkhorn Attack and Elite will also be hosting tournaments most fall weekends before a break over Christmas.
Officials will have multiple opportunities to officiate games during the Fall/Winter/Spring/Summer of 2024/25. Pay for all Conqueror League Basketball and Elkhorn Attack and Elite tournaments will be $30 per game. There are no membership fees and officials will NOT be required to sign any contracts. Other tournaments that our officials work will be paid according to the type of tournament. Stop clock, AAU-style tournaments will pay more.
We will continue to use the NBOStripes website (www.nbostripes.com) to post availability requests and weekend schedules. Brent Robinson, Jim Sauer and Rod Suggitt will be handling administration and assigning for the league and tournaments. If you have questions, you can text Robinson at 402-618-2859; Sauer at 402-215-1740; or Suggitt at 402-690-3180.
