Here is the 2020-2021 NBO Registration Form
Here is the 2020-2021 NBO Registration Form
Without a doubt, the Coronavirus pandemic has changed things drastically in 2020. But we now have all the Metro Conference High School basketball schedules for 2020-2021, so we need to get everyone registered for the coming winter season.
Registration has been scheduled for this Wednesday, September 2, and the following Wednesday, September 9, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm, in the main front lobby at Omaha Westside High School. These will be the only registration times before our pre-season meeting which will be scheduled in October. The next two Wednesdays are for registration only. They will not include any meetings. You must wear a mask to enter the lobby and sign up, and also honor social distancing guidelines.
Nebraska Basketball Officials Varsity Assignor Al Monaco will begin assigning games after Wednesday night. In order to be entered into the Arbiter database, you must be registered and pay your $60 dues by cash or check for the 2020-2021 season. Lower level assignor Brent Robinson will begin assigning games in October.
A registration form will be posted on this website, as well as on the osarefs.com website. It can be printed out, filled out, and brought to the signup. We will also have forms at registration, but encourage you to fill them out prior to avoid long lines.
If you have any questions, feel free to email, text, or call NBO assignors Al Monaco (402-525-0699, Monaco.nbo@gmail.com) or Brent Robinson (402-618-2859, Robinson.nbo@gmail.com).
The basketball officials NSAA test review has been scheduled for Omaha Westside High School at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, November 12. The review will be held in the Little Theatre just off the main gym.
This will also be a chance to register and pay dues for Nebraska Basketball Officials if you would like to work high school games this winter in the Metro Conference. NBO lower level assignor Brent Robinson will run the meeting.
Please print out a copy of the test from the NSAA website and bring to the meeting.
If you have any questions, please text Robinson at 402-618-2859.

The Spring Tip-Off Meeting for Nebraska Basketball Officials is TONIGHT at 6:30 pm, in the Omaha Burke High School Cafeteria.
We will do signups for the 2019-20 Season tonight. We are about two months ahead and have begun entering high school schedules. Scheduling will begin immediately.
Cash or Checks for $50 can be made out to Nebraska Basketball Officials.
We will also be filling spots for the NBO 3-person clinic at Omaha Bryan during their Varsity Summer Tournament, Saturday and Sunday, June 1 and 2. The clinic will be on Saturday, June 1, and you must be registered with NBO to take part in this clinic. We will also be taking availability for the June Varsity Boys and Girls Leagues on Monday nights. We hope to have opportunities for lower level officials, as well, this summer. We are still working on this.
We hope to see you tonight at Omaha Burke at 6:30 pm.
There are over 100 Metro Holiday Lower Level Tournament games scheduled for Thursday, Friday and Saturday, December 27, 28, 29. And, there are another 14 games on Monday, December 31. Rather than do all the scheduling on Arbiter and wait for turnbacks, I would like you to text your availability for these days to 402-618-2859.
The games start as early as 9 am on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and they continue into early evening. Most games are in the morning and early afternoon. If you want to take Thursday and Friday off work, or if you are on vacation, I should be able to get everyone games.
Feel free to designate an area of town you would like to work. There are large tournaments at Millard West, Omaha North and Omaha Northwest. But there are also games in Bellevue and at Westside and the Papillion Schools. As soon as I get your availability, I will start plugging names into games, so first come-first serve.
Thank you!
Brent Robinson
