The weekend of Friday night, Saturday and Sunday, February 6, 7 and 8 will be a busy one with the Battle of the Ballers Tournament and Week #6 of the Conqueror Basketball League (CBL). Please text your availability to Brent at 402-618-2859 or Jim at 402-215-1740.

It’s Super Bowl weekend so the last games on Sunday will be at 3 pm so everyone can get done early enough to enjoy the game and all the festivities. We will be playing on over 25 courts so please give us all the availability you have. We welcome everyone wanting to work all day and will do everything possible to meet your requests. Remember, there are only so many games in the mornings, so availability from 11 am on has the best chance of getting games.

The referee schedules for the Elkhorn Attack/Elite January Jam Tournament and Week #4 of the Winter Conqueror Basketball League (CBL), Friday night, Saturday and Sunday, January 23, 24 and 24, have been released. Please text your confirmations to Brent at 402-618-2859 or Jim at 402-215-1740.

The weekend of Friday night, Saturday and Sunday, January 23, 24 and 25 will feature games in the Elkhorn Attack/Elite January Jam Tournament and also Week #4 of Winter Conqueror Basketball League (CBL). Please text your availability to Brent at 402-618-2859 or Jim at 402-215-1740.

The January Jam Tournament has well over 200 teams entered and will be played at Union Bank and Trust Sports Complex South (6 courts), as well as Trinity Classical Academy in Waterloo (2 courts), Elkhorn Ridge Middle School (2 courts) and Elkhorn Valley View Middle School (2 courts).

The CBL will play at Elkhorn Middle School (2 courts), Elkhorn North Ridge Middle School (2 courts), Elkhorn Grand View Middle School (2 courts), Nebraska Basketball Academy (2 courts), Elkhorn Middle School (2 courts), and Woodbrook Elementary, West Dodge Station Elementary and Arbor View Elementary.

Games are scheduled at 6,7,8,9 on Friday night; 8,9,10,11,12,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 on Saturday; and 8,9,10,11,12,1,2,3,4,5,6 on Sunday.

The weekend of Friday night, Saturday and Sunday, January 16, 17 and 18 will feature Week # 3 of the Winter Conqueror Basketball League (CBL) and the Annual Winter Hoops Challenge Tournament. Once again, a reminder to please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled start time. Especially at Union Bank and Trust Sports Complex, it is always better to arrive early to find a parking place.

One rules reminder for Conqueror Basketball League, zone defenses are NOT allowed until players reach the sixth grade. Some coaches in the younger leagues are attempting to play matchup zones and claiming it is a person-to-person defense. This is not allowed. Make sure all younger teams are NOT playing zone defense.

Week #3 of the Winter Conqueror Basketball League (CBL) and the Annual Elkhorn Attack/Elite Winter Hoops Challenge are scheduled Friday night, Saturday and Sunday, January 16, 17 and 18. You can plan ahead and text your availability to Brent at 402-618-2859 or Jim at 402-215-1740.

Both events offer Nebraska Basketball Officials a full weekend of games at West Omaha venues. Please be specific as possible when giving your availability. Remember, early games on Saturday and Sunday mornings are the most-requested times. Requests for game times from noon to the end of the day are your best opportunities to get game assignments on a consistent basis.

We have 10 pages of referee schedules and 29 total courts, so please go through them carefully and text your confirmations to Brent at 402-618-2859 or Jim at 402-215-1740.

We have included the addresses of all the locations at the tops of the sheets. Please plan ahead to arrive at least 10 minutes early to all sites. We want to keep games on schedule. Remember that parking at the Union Bank and Trust Sports Complex can be difficult, so leave yourself plenty of time.

Also, as you can see, we have more games than anyone in the Metro area. If you want games, please contact either Brent or Jim and we will put you on our referee list. Thank you to everyone who helped fill the last few games we had available for this weekend.

The Bennington Badger Shootout and Conqueror Basketball League (CBL) offer a very busy youth schedule the weekend of January 9, 10 and 11. We will publish the schedule for the upcoming weekend Monday afternoon, January 5.

The Bennington Badger Shootout will be played at the South Union Bank and Trust Sports Complex (UBT2 South) building (6 courts) as well as Bennington Middle School (2 courts), Bennington South Middle School (2 courts), Bennington High School (2 courts) and Trinity Classical Academy in Waterloo (2 courts).

The CBL will be played at Elkhorn Middle and Elementary schools, as well as the Nebraska Basketball Academy building in West Omaha.

Please be as flexible as possible with your availability for this busy weekend. We will also be receptive to officials wanting to work all day on Saturday and Sunday.
