Referee schedules have been released for Conqueror Basketball League (CBL) and the Bennington Basketball Association Badger Shootout, this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, January 10, 11 and 12. Please read through the schedules carefully and text your confirmations to Brent at 402-618-2859 or Jim at 402-215-1740.

This is going to be a very busy weekend, with games being played on 29 courts across western Omaha, Elkhorn and Bennington. Please plan on arriving at least 10 minutes before your scheduled game times. Parking could be a challenge, especially at Union Bank and Trust Sports Complex South2, so plan accordingly. Please note that addresses are listed for all locations on the schedule grids.

Friday night, Saturday and Sunday, January 10, 11 and 12, is going to be a busy weekend for our Youth Division Nebraska Basketball Officials as we have the second weekend of Winter Conqueror Basketball League (CBL) and the 7th Annual Bennington Basketball Association Badger Shootout. We will be taking requests for officials wanting to work all day on Saturday and Sunday. This is going to be a very busy weekend with games being played on 26 courts in West Omaha, Elkhorn and Bennington.

The Bennington tournament has 266 teams entered while the CBL has 445 teams. This weekend’s games will go later on Saturday night and into early evening on Sunday.

With Christmas upon us, we thought it would be good to get availability requests started before the actual Holiday. The Elkhorn Attack and Elite youth basketball programs have almost 450 teams registered for Winter Conqueror Basketball League (CBL), making it the largest youth league in the Metro. Opening weekend will be combined with the New Year’s Bash Tournament on Friday night, Saturday and Sunday, January 3, 4 and 5. Please text your availability for this busy January weekend to Brent at 402-618-2859 and Jim at 402-215-1740.

We will continue to take requests for officials wanting to work courts all day on Saturday and Sunday. We are also welcoming officials who may not be getting the number of games they want elsewhere. We pay $30 per game for all officials and are willing to train and help officials wanting to get started.

Looking ahead, Elkhorn Attack/Elite will be hosting its New Year’s Bash Tournament on Friday night, Saturday and Sunday, January 3, 4 and 5, 2025. That is also the opening weekend of Winter Conqueror Basketball League (CBL). The Winter CBL is currently at 416 teams and is going to be the largest youth basketball league in the Omaha Metro. Nebraska Basketball Officials Youth Division is going to offer more referee opportunities than anywhere in Omaha and all officials are paid $30 per game. We are always looking to add new officials.

The Holiday Hoopfest Tournament, sponsored by Elkhorn Attack/Elite and the Bennington Basketball Association is scheduled for Friday night, Saturday and Sunday, December 20, 21 and 22. Please text your availability for this weekend to Brent at 402-618-2859 or Jim at 402-215-1740.

Looking ahead, the Winter Conqueror Basketball League (CBL) will resume the weekend of January 4-5 with over 425 teams. It will be the largest youth basketball league in the Omaha Metro and will offer more games to officials than any other youth organization. Make plans for a busy winter and early spring.

Referee schedules for the Elkhorn Attack Boys’ Santa Shootout and the Elkhorn Elite Girls Rule tournaments have been released. Please find your game assignments and text your confirmations to Brent at 402-618-2859 or Jim at 402-215-1740.

We have a couple reminders.

Please do not start games more than 5 minutes early unless you have the permission of a site supervisor. Coaches can request to start early with permission from the site supervisor. We, as officials, do not make the decision to start games early. And, if your partner is not there, do not start the game until you have spoken with the site supervisor or have called Brent or Jim.

Also, we need to do a better job of arriving at least 5 minutes before game time. Plan ahead and arrive early, please.

Games in the Boys Santa Shootout are going to run every 55 minutes. Please adjust to this, make note of your start time and arrive early. Games in the Girls Rule Tourney will run on the hour.

It’s time to send your availability for two of the biggest holiday tournaments in December as the Elkhorn Elite “Girls Rule” Tournament and the Elkhorn Attack Boys’ Santa Shootout is scheduled for Friday night, Saturday and Sunday, December 13, 14 and 15. The Boys Santa Shootout is a fast-paced tournament with games played every 55 minutes to give you an opportunity to work more games in less time. It will be played Friday night, Saturday and Sunday at Union Bank and Trust Sports Complex2 South and Trinity Classical Academy (Old Waterloo High School). The “Girls Rule” Tournament will be played Friday night, Saturday and Sunday at Elkhorn North Ridge Middle School, Elkhorn Middle School, Elkhorn Ridge Middle School, Elkhorn Valley View Middle School and Trinity Classical Academy (Old Waterloo High School).

This tournament is so big we will be playing Friday night, Saturday from 8 am to 10 pm Sunday from 8 am to 8 pm. We will take availability for all day from as many officials as possible. If you want to make some good $$$ for the holidays, this is the weekend for you.

The Cornhusker Youth State Basketball Championships, sponsored by Elkhorn Attack/Elite and the Bennington Basketball Association, will be held at Union Bank and Trust Sports Complex2 South and other west metro area gyms, while Conqueror Basketball League (CBL) will play at Elkhorn Schools over the busy weekend of Friday, Saturday and Sunday, December 6, 7 and 8. Once again we welcome officials wanting to work all day Saturday and Sunday, December 7 and 8. December 7 will be the first Saturday of high school games in the state. Please consider working games before and/or after your scheduled prep games.
