I wanted to emphasize the Elkhorn Attack and Elite youth basketball program supports us as officials, and considering recent events this past weekend in other tournaments, we should remember not to engage with fans in the stands. If you have issues with fans, please contact a site supervisor and ask THEM to handle the situation. Our job is on the court with the players and coaches.

Let’s continue to do a good job and be dependable and on time. We appreciate your hard work and dedication.

Remember, we are right back to a full weekend of Conqueror Basketball League and the Cornhusker Youth State Basketball Championships on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, December 6, 7 and 8. Plan ahead…

Happy Thanksgiving!

Please text your availability for these dates to Brent at 402-618-2859 or Jim at 402-215-1740.

Please be as specific as possible when giving your availability. If you give us 8-3, we don’t know if that includes the 3 pm game, or if you need to be done by 3. Some of you are requesting just morning games and not getting games. This is because there just are not enough games from 8 til noon to assign everyone. If you give afternoon or early evening availability, you have a much better chance of getting games.

Also, looking ahead, plan on November 22, 23 and 24 being a very busy weekend. Now would be a good time to line up a couple other officials and request a court for all day on that weekend. We are looking at over 500 games that weekend between tournaments and Conqueror League. Plan ahead for a huge weekend.

We recommend you be as flexible as possible when providing your availability. If you have availability from noon on Saturday and Sunday, those are your best chances to get games.

We want to remind everyone to please read and know the rules for CBL games, as well as tournament games. There are some subtle differences. Also, please plan to arrive early for all games. We recommend being 10 minutes early, especially at Union Bank and Trust Sports Complex2 South, where parking can be an issue on Saturday and Sunday.
